Story
Derria L. Ford is a dynamic nonprofit leader, strategist, and storyteller passionate about driving equity through philanthropy. As Chief Development Officer at the Martha O’Bryan Center, she leads fundraising, donor engagement, and communications to break the cycle of poverty through education, advocacy, and community empowerment.
With nearly 20 years of impact, Derria has raised millions, strengthened donor relationships, and built transformative corporate and community partnerships. A recognized thought leader in ethical storytelling and strengths-based leadership, she has shared her insights at national conferences like AFP LEAD and Raise Fundraising. In 2024, she was honored as the Middle Tennessee State Jones College of Business Young Professional of the Year.
Holding a Doctorate in Leadership and Professional Practice from Trevecca Nazarene University and an MBA from Middle Tennessee State University, Derria blends academic expertise with real-world experience to drive strategic growth, leadership development, and social change.
